The decoration is by William Longdon in the style of William Billingsley. The plates are decorated with boughs and fronds in the colors of autumn within a scalloped gilt border;The rim is highlighted with gold gilt as well. There is some slight gilt loss due to handling, as shown. Dimensions: 8 1/2" (22cm) in diameter and 1" in depth. Condition is very good. No hairlines, cracks, frits or ships. One age-related pinhead-size glaze pop. Overall remarkable state REFERENCE: "DERBY PORCELAIN, An Illustrated Guide 1745-1848". See painter's marks on pages 40-41.
