Very early iteration of the distinctive motif that was produced by St. Clement and its sister pottery Luneville, beginning in the late 18th century. Hand-painted and tin-glazed faience.
Features a gently scalloped rim with a pink flower and light green leaves. Some roughness on rim edge with chip on inner rim. See photos
Early 19th century St.-Clement wares were not marked as early in its existence the pottery did not yet file their particular marks with the French court. This changed in 1830 when hand-painted marks began.
