An uncommon rendition of the Victorian-era flatback "Scot Highlander" figure standing an impressive 14 1/2" in height. Typically figures of this size were created in the 1875-1890 period. Of particular note is it's superb condition, finely molded details and conscientious decoration.
Base and foot rim are covered with the think syrupy glaze indicative of the period. Mold detail is exceptional as are the facial decorations, again proper for the period. This is NOT one of the later 20th-century reproductions that abound in the marketplace.
Seller guarantees authenticity. Aside from kiln grit embedded in a few places during manufacture, the figure is in exceptionally fine condition with bright enamel and free of dirt.
